Jāgran( जागरण ) or jāgrata ( जागरता ) is a way of worship by Hindus. They worship the Goddess Durga throughout the night by sacrificing their night and singing bhajans, reciting aarti, story of tara rani. The process of Jagran starts with initiating holy fire called "Jyoti Prajwalit Karna". Then starts aarti followed by bhajans. Reciting the story of tara rani is the finalization of the Jagran as the worship is done by a priest, so Jagran is also done by the priest. The person or family that wants to get the worship of the goddess done makes a prayer to the priest who accepts the prayer and on the fixed day he completes the worship in a religious way. Money is not material in jaguars. There is no fee fixed. Where the family or person wants to worship the goddess, he may spend money lavishly and pay to the best of his capacity to the priest but where it is not so the Jagran is done in a simple manner with minimum expenditure. The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit, Nava meaning nine and Ratri meaning nights.[4] During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi are worshiped. The tenth day is commonly referred to as Vijayadashami or "Dussehra" (also spelled Dasara). Navratri is an important major festival and is celebrated with great zeal all over India. Diwali the festival of lights is celebrated twenty days after Dasara.
